hosts 경로 : 윈도우XP,NT,2000계열에서는 c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc 에 hosts라는 파일이 있고 윈도우9x,윈도우me계열에서는 c:\windows\에 hosts 또는 hosts.sam이라는 파일이 있을겁니다.

이렇게 되어있을겁니다.
사용 방법은
(아이피) 호스트네임
ex) 211.211.211.211 daum.net
이렇게 추가시켜야 합니다.
(몇칸 띄워야 합니다.)
DNS을 빨리 적용시키고 싶을때 위처럼 입력하고 hosts파일을 저장하면 daum.net이 211.211.211.211로 연결되는 걸 볼수 있는데요.
이렇게 적용된걸 취소하려면 아까 추가시킨걸 지우면 됩니다.
바로 적용될때도 있지만 가끔 재부팅을 해주어야 하는 경우도 있습니다.
이것의 용도로는 DNS이 느리게 적용되거나 dns에 문제가 있어 ip로만 접속될때 사용하면 좋을듯 하네요.
